We know that after a while dad really settled with you and he couldn’t speak highly enough of how well he was looked after. It also put our minds at rest to know that he was in safe hands. You are all so very kind and amazing and we couldn’t have asked for a better environment for her. We have been comforted to know that mum’s last few weeks were spent at Eastridge Manor, from the onset we were overwhelmed by the loving and compassionate care shown to mum. Thank you all so much for the exceptional care that you all gave our father.
In the last few weeks of her life the care and kindness you showed her made the inevitable end just a little easier for us to bear. We had been friends for 45 years and she leaves a great hole in our lives. We would like to thank all the staff who cared for Mary, for their professionalism and kindness. No one really (least of all mum!) wants to be in a Nursing Home, but your care and friendship towards mum helped her cope through some dark times. Dad has been at Eastridge Manor for 6 months now and a felt the staff deserved some recognition for all their hard work. The housekeeping and kitchen teams, together with the support staff, also deserve thanks for maintaining such high standards throughout the home.

The residency cares for adults over 65 including people with mental health conditions. Additionally, the care home is able to support people with sensory impairment. The care home has been operating for more than seven years. Saffrons Care Home 20 Saffrons Road, Eastbourne, BN21 1DU Saffrons Care Home is a medium size residental home located in Eastbourne housing a maximum of twenty individuals. The residency cares for older individuals including people with sensory impairment.
Information and advice about suitable care and support. During our inspection we found that people had been involved in decisions about their care and chose how they spent their time. Care plans documented the needs of people and their preferences. Staff received regular training and updates to enable them to meet people’s needs. Staff had regular supervision where they were able to discuss any concerns and identify any training or support needs. This was an unannounced inspection which meant the provider and staff did not know we were coming.

Thank you to everyone for the help you provided for us in caring for Peter in his last days. It was so kind to allow Malcolm and Richard to stay with Peter overnight and provide them with ”eats” and drinks to help them through the night. Such a shame Peter was not able to enjoy the pleasant outlook form his room. He loved company and your time with him was very important to him. We are so please he spent the last 18 months of his life there.

The nurses, carers, ancillary and activity team are always welcoming, cheerful, supportive and sympathetic, its a real team effort. Every resident is regarded as Special and worthy of tender loving care in their own right. I am most happy to recommend Berkeley Lodge most warmly with confidence. To Donna, I would just like to say a big thank you for all the support and care you have given mum over the past few years. It’s an amazing home and she is so blessed, i feel so relieved knowing she is with you and safe.

The large lounge incorporates a dining area which can be increased or decreased in size to accommodate numbers. Bedrooms range in size and most are en-suite, all are maintained to modern high standards and are in excellent decorative order. Rooms can be personalised decoratively and by the addition of chosen furniture in order to make a residents personal space their own home. Outside there are two patio areas for use by residents, families and friends.
However for a really good understanding of Manor Hall please do come and have a look. Every registered care provider in the UK can claim a free listing on Autumna. However, a paid subscription allows more information to be added and as a result a higher profile score. People were supported to maintain good healthcare and were able to access healthcare professionals when needed.
